- From Manhattan: Take the Lincoln Tunnel or Holland Tunnel to NJ Turnpike (I-95).
- Exit at 15W (Kearny/Newark).
- Follow signs toward Kearny and continue onto Belleville Turnpike/Route 7.
- Turn right onto Schuyler Ave, then left onto Basin Drive.
- Palisade Stages will be on your right.
- Approx. 25–35 minutes from Midtown, depending on traffic.
By Bus
- From Port Authority Bus Terminal (NYC): Take NJ Transit Bus 76 toward Kearny.
- Get off at Kearny Ave at Bergen Ave.
- From there, it’s about a 10–12 minute rideshare or taxi to 20 Basin Drive.
- Total travel time: about 55–70 minutes.
By Train

Palisade Stages is located at 20 Basin Drive, Kearny, NJ, in an industrial waterfront section of South Kearny. The area has a very different feel from midtown Manhattan theatre districts or suburban studio complexes:
Industrial Zone: The immediate surroundings are mostly warehouses, distribution centers, trucking depots, and container yards. Streets can be dimly lit at night, with limited pedestrian traffic.
Isolation: Because it’s an industrial peninsula, there aren’t many businesses open late—no cafés, restaurants, or shops directly around the studio. That makes it feel isolated once the workday ends.
Perceived Risk: Visitors unfamiliar with industrial neighborhoods sometimes describe the area as “sketchy” or unsafe, mainly due to its desolate appearance, heavy truck traffic, and lack of people around after hours.
Reality: While not known as a high-crime hotspot, the area isn’t designed for casual visitors. Security is usually handled by the productions filming there, and cast/crew are advised to drive in, park in designated lots, and avoid walking after dark
